4802-5-1: Project Ideas
This lecture consisted of several ideas that students may want to implement for their final project in Digital Image Processing.
Edge detection is the act of finding edges in an image.
Halftoning is the act of converting a grayscale image to black and white while maintaining the illusion of shades of gray, much like a printed newspaper.
Background removal is the act of determining which pixels belong to the “foreground” of an image and which belong to the “background”. The background pixels are then removed.
