This assignment serves as a prerequisite assessment.

Modify your team's implementation of the SameGame from last quarter so that it:

• Runs as an applet
• Uses at least one inner class

Use the lab 1 template file to use as a starting point for this report. Each week you should write a paragraph indicating your assessment of the progress you have made and what you have left to accomplish. You should also continue to fill in the activity log for the report. You can just leave the the other sections blank.

The lab report need not be self-contained. Your report should include:

• Embedded applet.
• Discussion (clearly indicate where you used and inner class and why, problems you encountered (and how they were overcome), etc.)
• An activity log indicating how much time you spent on each phase of the assignment. You should use the format found in the template XML file and report the time in the following categories:
  • Design
  • Coding
  • Debug (before you think it's working)
  • Test (after you think it's working)
  • Writing Report
  • Other
• Conclusions (what you learned, suggestions of how the assignment could be improved, things you would have done differently, etc.)
• Documented source code for your program.
• In addition, you should make a .jar with all of your .class files and submit the file as the support file. Your .jar file should be named 1030MSOEloginL1.jar where MSOElogin is your MSOE login. Any additional files (music or graphic files) can be added to the .jar file (see this support forum post for details on how) or should have your MSOE login as part of the filename and should be included in a .zip file that also contains the .jar file.

As with any report you submit, correct spelling and grammar are required. In addition, your report should be submitted electronically following the Electronic submission guidelines. (You may wish to consult the XML help video and/or sample report before submitting your report.) Be sure to keep copies of all your files, in case something gets lost.

Your grade will depend on quality of design, clarity of code and documentation, as well as whether your program produces the correct results. If you have any questions, consult your instructor.
